Alex Marinier
Founder & General Partner
Alex is Founder & General Partner at New Form. Previously, Alex was an investor at Sand Hill firm DCM Ventures, where he led the firm's expansion into blockchain investing. Prior to that, Alex worked in private equity at Blackstone in New York underwriting secondary transactions. He's a seed investor in Compound Finance, Blockfolio, and Chia among others. A native New Yorker, Alex holds a BSc from Cornell's SC Johnson College of Business.
Jake Schwartz
Venture Partner
Jake is a Venture Partner at New Form focusing on firm strategy. Formerly Jake was co-founder and CEO of General Assembly, which sold to Adecco Group for over $400M in 2018. He has been actively investing in the blockchain sector since 2014 and is passionate about the technology's potential to challenge the existing structure of internet oligopolies. Jake holds a BA from Yale and an MBA from Wharton.
Matt Cooper
Venture Partner
Matthew is a Venture Partner at New Form. Previously, Matthew founded Kraynos Capital, a pre-seed venture fund focused on blockchain startups. Prior to Kraynos, Matthew was a business development manager at The Maker Foundation and a founding member of Etale Trading, a crypto trading platform acquired by NYDIG. Matthew holds a BA from UNC Chapel Hill.
Virginia Tiernan
Chief of Staff
Virginia is Chief of Staff at New Form. Previously, Virginia worked in the Government Relations division at Blackstone with a focus on real estate. Prior to that, Virginia was in the Global Government Affairs division at Carlyle and covered real estate, aerospace and defense, and infrastructure assets. She graduated from Harvard with a BA in Government and received honors for her thesis on political threats to the dollar as the world reserve currency.
Connor Klein
Investment Partner
Connor is an Investment Partner at New Form. Previously, Connor was in Investment Banking at Morgan Stanley where he worked in consumer & retail, actively covering metaverse amongst other sub-sectors. Prior to that, Connor worked in growth at Halliday, an Andreessen Horowitz and Hashed backed startup bringing blockchain technology to eCommerce. Connor holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
Alison Silverman
Head of Investor Relations
Alison is Head of Investor Relations at New Form. Previously, Alison was a member of the Investor Relations and Client Service team at Cantillon Capital, where she focused on expanding the institutional client base and consultant relationships. Prior to that, Alison worked at Cramer Rosenthal McGlynn, where she led strategic initiatives and business development efforts for the Firm. Alison holds a BA from Villanova University and was a member of the Women's D-1 rowing club.
Chris Bae
Entrepreneur-in-Residence
Chris is an EIR at New Form and co-founder of Enhanced Digital Group, a New Form portfolio company. Most recently, Chris was a Mgmt and Investment Committee member of UBS Hedge Fund Solutions, a +$40bn alternative investment group. He began his career at Goldman Sachs where he led currency options and equity derivative trading desks before leading global trading teams for Merrill Lynch. Chris holds a BSc in economics from M.I.T.
